Hip Hop and Rap

Rap and Hip Hop are both great genres that have influenced the music industry a lot. Hip Hop is one of the highly listened type of music today because of the fast beats and catchy lyrics but hardly ever means anything sometimes the lyrics do not even make sense. Also it is music that is used mostly as dancing music, so at times lyrics are not the reason people listen, at times it just for the beats. But Rap I fell like it takes the cake. I see it as the only kind of music that has meaning to it. Its a way that many artist express their thought towards themselves, the world and many other things. But as artists start to get more recognized by people, start getting fans, and finally go viral, they start to lose that ambition that they started of with. they get blinded by that fame and start making music that has no meaning to it, at many times they did not write the music themselves. The music they begin to make stops sounding like rap and starts sounding more like hip hop. It is a shame to see that good artist start losing that potential they started of with once they have the feeling that all there is left to do is make money.
